Then the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance cast down?

If thou do well, shalt thou not be [a]accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the [b]door: also unto thee his [c]desire shall be subject, and thou shalt rule over him.

¶ Then Cain spake unto Abel his brother. And (A)when they were in the field, Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
